1) The Portuguese Order of the Sash of Three Orders was established in 1789 by Queen Mary the Pios and is Portugal's highest honor recognizing the Grand Master of the Three Portuguese Orders and rewarding heads of foreign states friendly to Portugal. This example includes the Breast Star showing three enameled crosses. CONDITION: light wear overall. 2 & 3) The Portuguese Order of Aviz was established in 1162 by King Alfonso I and was first awarded as an ecclesiastic order but later under Mary I became a military order.
